Hi, I didn't get a response to my curation question. I just submitted this to the help desk. It is about “the curation jail.”

So I have 60 thousand viewers this month. I’ve had multiple stories with about ten thousand views each just this month. I’ve made plenty of money, probably more than 99.9 percent of writers on Medium. I don’t need curation.

But it makes me feel like you don’t want me on your platform. Yes, what I write is all silly and whimsical and not high brow but people seem to like it.

So why out of thousands and thousands of stories I write can you not curate one of them?

(Yes, I get curated by the automatic curation sites like Slackjaw or Jane Austen’s Waste Basket, but that doesn’t count).

I know, I know, there is a curation guideline. But I want to write the way I write, which is funny and edgy and stupid. Don’t we all need a dose of that every now and then? It can’t all be earnest and virtuous. Can it?

You cannot deny that people love me and they stay on Medium because of me. I would think rather than punish me with curation jail you would hire me to cheer up the place. People didn’t blow up Reddit to be a zillion dollar company because it was earnest and virtuous. The blew it up because it was fun. Same with Tik Tok. Twitter too. More fun is needed on this site, can I be frank.

Thanks

Christine.
