I attended too. I think your analysis is the spot on. One thing to add--it was very disappointing that they had the genius Lizzo there and all they let her do was twerk. I thought that was lame. Couple of Snoop songs and I was ready to hear some Lizzo. Or at least watch her play the flute. One thing I loved though is how the whole crowd knew all the words to every snoop song. Dang, that was an experience. But even so, it smacks of the same laziness that Dave has now--Snoop just rapping along to his own record. I mean, come on, how hard would it be to have the music track separated so he could rap live. Lame, lazy, shitty. But the crowd didn't care they LOVED the snoop. Watching him share a joint with Dave was awesome. I left as Nas came on because I didn't know how long it was going to take to get my phone back. Great night, but yeah, Dave needs to get over it. NOW. I don't want to hear about his opinions of trans any more. Although I do find the impossible burger joke funny. Offensive maybe, but fricking funny. I've written about creating a SAFE SPACE FOR COMEDY. So I'm not in favor of canceling dave, but yeah, grow up dude. Thanks again for such a great article. Oh, Stevie Wonder was weird yeah, but he mentioned "Little Stevie" so I went home and googled Little Stevie and saw some of that stuff he did with the harmonica when he was ten. Check it out, so GREAT!
