It’s a very odd premise claiming that the way to win the civil war is with minority voters when there are so many Trump voters among those constituencies! I say the way we win the civil war is opening the eyes of the majority to the fact that they have nothing to lose from democracy and equity and that a fair, diverse and democratic nation is something we all could be proud of. That’s patriotism. Seize the flag back from the right. Start waving it on the left. The stars and stripes could stand for a nation that overcame its racist past and became a model for all nations.
