Thanks BOmber, I was looking at that line myself, and it did occur to me that the opposite of courage is cowardice, not fear. Now whether cowardice is an emotion, I dunno, but it certainly seems to contain an emotional component, that of “I’m feeling very vulnerable right now, like I might die…and that is filling me with fear..”
So I’ll try to put that in. All I’m trying to say is that it’s more complicated than the manbox people would have us believe. Emotions? I mean, what are they. Some psychologists have suggested that all emotions are cognitive errors of one sort or another! But we’re not computers, or logic machines, we are both — men and women — highly illogical, crazed, enormously fascinating emotional beings.
