Well as someone recently pointed out to me the ACLU used to defend the right of American Neo-Nazis to have free speech. These were mostly Jewish lawyers who believed absolutely free speech was a fundamental requirement for a free democracy. I like what's happening now, where Google News and so on will have these fact checks disputing the big lies. Also, I was never making an equivalency between the left and right. If you look at the sub title it says the right is way worse. But thank you for your thoughts. Ultimately I don't think Hillary lost because of the propaganda on the right. If you look at her own marketing she was saying the wrong things. THere is a great book about marketing that says the customer doesn't care about your story. They care about how your product fits into THEIR story. Trump understood this. Russian manipulation or not. Hillary was all about her own story. "I'm with HER" was her slogan. You could not think of a more ass backwards way to win an election than to make it all about HER. And as you will see, Trump's marketing is now forced to be all about HIM. And that will not win him the election. People really stupidly naively believed he was going to make THEIR lives better.
