Well if it was a roast the guy would never get punched, and there is a slight "roast" tradition at oscars and certainly the Golden Globes with Ricky Gervais. I remember Billy Crystal would make roast jokes etc. I don't know if roasting is great. It's certainly funnier than whatever those three female hosts were trying last night because they were very not funny. I usually like Amy Shumer but she was off. Wanda Sykes is usually pretty good but I wasn't into it last night.
